Hawaiian Hand Applique, with Patsy Mosby Experience the colorful history and culture of quilting in the islands, as you master traditional Hawaiian Hand Applique. You’ll learn to design your own “fold and cut” paper pattern, as well as perfecting needle turn applique techniques. Ideas for completing your project with hand quilting in the Hawaiian style will be discussed.

Over 3 days, students will create designs for their personal quilts, and work to improve walking foot and free motion skills. Explore marking techniques, stencils, and freehand quilting. These skills will be applied to at least one quilt top during these sessions. Smaller quilts or Panels (such as the Hoffman Dream Big) are recommended. Quilts over ~ 60 x 60 are too large for this environment. Students must have taken Intro to Machine Quilting and have some quilting experience.
